hello and welcome to this month’s local
rental property market video with me Rogr Tarrier, today we’re going to start
by taking a look on what’s been happening in property market locally
here in Peterborough as well as new properties becoming available. On the
lettings side, the average rental price for the Peterborough area is currently £719
per month which has an increase of 1.1% from last month. The average
rents by property type show rooms averaged at £416 per month, flats
average at £729 per month and houses average’ £847 per month.
There are currently 581 available properties of all sizes in the
Peterborough area with 127 becoming advertised in the last 14 days. 512
of these properties are available for under and including a £1,000
per month, the figures are continuing to show a lack of larger family homes. With
only 37, 4 and 5 bedroom properties available. We’ve continued to see rents
increase across agents portfolios, however this can easily lead to a rise
in tenant turnover with the increased risk of a void, which in turn eats away
at the value of landlord’s property.
