  1. Something is horribly, horribly wrong at this place. Criminal investigation is needed. Also are any necropsies being done on these poor horses when they die?

  2. DISGRACEFUL…THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN STAT. 10 HORSES DIED IN 2017. I'M SORRY SOMETHING CRIMINAL IS GOING ON OR THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE DIRT OF THE TRACK.

  3. JUST BULLSHIT!!!!NO EXCUSE,,, CANNOT BE CONDONED!!LETS BAN HORSE RACING!!ITS REALLY ONLY FOR THE RICH WHO DON'T GIVE A DAMN!! ANIMAL ABUSE!!!!

  4. I just don't understand why horses have to be put down because of a broken leg. That's just crazy to me, we wouldn't kill our dog or cat for it

  5. Santa Anita has banned lasix on race day. Stupid. That's not causing bad steps. They also made use of a crop for correction only, not encouragement. Stupid. That's not causing bad steps either.

He said the track is fine but frankly, it can't be. They have had the most rain ever and coldest temps in ages. Santa Anita is a dirt track. It should be ripped out and replaced.

  6. California Horse Racing is done. Trainers and owners will and are currently leaving in droves! The horse fields will be only 4. I'll just bet at other Tracks. I'm sure Kentucky will not capitulate to PETA.

  7. I don’t think is the track ,the trainers they know what is wrong with the horses but they still send them to the track anyway putting the lives of the horses, exercise riders and the jockeys at risk they don’t care they only care about 💰they can always get another horse that is how the majority of them think. By the way some horses are insured.

  8. I've only rode at about 35 tracks thru the nation including Saratoga Race Course. Take a good look at the tracks 1/4 turn, kinda looks like a car track with the slope inward. "IF" I'm correct it looks a bit to banked to me thru the video. That can easily throw a horse off stride and make bad things happen from just one single step. I'd be doing some Serious looking at this track meanwhile, it would be shut down that's entirely to many horses in such a short time.

  9. I worked in a barn near Mr.Bernstein's. His shedrow was so rutted that on rainy days when we had to walk the horses inside, I would take my horses to the other end of the barn to walk them on a smooth surface. He did not even care enough about his horses to make his workers fix the shedrow. Why would he care what kind of track surface they were running on?

  10. That is why the Almighty Creator does not want us to get involve with gambling, game of chance, lottery, dividing meat by lottery and so on. Although He has given us many years of respite.

  11. Owners and trainers start these horses when they are too young, the bones aren't fully matured. Also, they drug them to keep them running, for that almighty dollar and prestige, even with weakened legs, for example bowed tendons, that's why you see so many race horses with wrapped legs…wrapping the legs hides a lot. In the end if they aren't fast enough, they are sold for meat in Asia and Europe…

  12. They are making a big deal of this! This happen to this sport all the time we lose legends on the track and off the track they need to focus on the track career the future, let's them handled it they are doing their job to solve this issued!

  13. I've seen and lived with horse racing much of my life. My father was a trainer who ran his horse in bush tracks in the northwest. I worked taking care of our horses at the track. Injured horses were injected with drugs then raced until they broke down. So many bad greedy people who both own, train , and ride these horses only concern is for the money . They have no qualms of cheating the public who bet . I was one of them too. What's even sadder is they get huge tax write offs on the whole deal. Even when a horse loses its life.

  14. This track needs to close for time until they know what’s causing horses to die. It’s clearly unstable on ground, unsafe and too heavy on horse’s legs. No more horses to die please 😞😞

It could also be down to cruel trainers who drug their horses to numb pain and injuries creating a bigger problem and a bigger injury causing horses to be euthanised.

There is no place for drugging horses in racing. Disgusting behaviour if it’s the truth.

  15. They are babies being asked to do way too much! Some horses make it through just fine. I have a retired racehorse who ran 53 races over six years and is essentially sound. She has a few minor issues, but they are very minor considering her career. Her confirmation is just about perfect and she’s big. But that is not the case for so many of these horses. On another note, that gray horse is lovely.

  16. I rode on this track for many years in all types of weather. When it rains the track soaks up the water deep down to the bottom layers. So the maintenance is topside. It looks good. Down below it is not.

  17. They are probably moving the 2019 Breeders Cup World Championships To Churchill Downs in Louisville,Kentucky. November,1&2,2019

  18. When you masquerade an injure with medications to avoid legs horse pain this happens. Bones, tendons and knees were already fractured and swelling , add a muddy track that put pressure on the legs is a perfect storm for disaster.
